NetCheckPro is a free internet quality test. This page says what happens to your data when you use it, in plain terms.
Last updated: 1 October 2026
The short version
- The speed test runs in your browser. We do not receive your results, and they are not sent back to Cloudflare.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and tests are used.
- Nothing else leaves your browser unless you use the IP lookup or send a business audit booking.
- There are no accounts or logins.
The speed test
When you press “Run internet test”, your browser connects directly to Cloudflare’s speed test servers at speed.cloudflare.com. It measures latency, jitter, download and upload speed, and how much latency rises when your connection is busy (bufferbloat). Cloudflare can see your IP address, as any website you visit can.
The test uses Cloudflare’s open-source measurement engine. We switched off its option to report results to Cloudflare, so your results are not sent back to Cloudflare. The numbers are worked out on your device and are not sent to our servers. A test uses up to about 190 MB of data, more on faster connections.
Cloudflare’s own policy covers how it handles the requests it receives: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies in your browser and records page views and a few actions: when a test is started, completed or fails, when a business audit button is clicked, and when a booking is submitted. For a completed test it records only the overall verdict, an overall score, the bufferbloat grade and the page you were on. It does not record your speed numbers, your IP address or anything you type into a form.
Google processes this data and may do so outside the UK and EU. To opt out, install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block analytics with your browser or an extension. The site works the same either way.
What is my IP?
When you press “Show my IP” on the IP lookup page, your browser asks the service ipapi.co for your public IP address and approximate location. That service receives your IP address to answer, and its own policy applies. We do not store the result.
Business audit bookings
If you request a business audit, the booking form collects:
- Business name
- Website or domain (optional)
- Location or service area
- Current internet provider (optional)
- Contact email
- Phone number (optional)
- Your main problem
We use these details only to reply to you and to carry out the audit. They are stored on our web server, which is hosted by Hostinger. We do not sell them or use them for advertising. We keep a booking only as long as we need it to handle your request.
Partner links and ads
Some pages may show partner links or ads. If you follow a partner link, that partner receives your visit and its own policy applies. We may earn a commission from partner links, and the site says so wherever they appear. If we add advertising, we will update this page.
Cookies and hosting
The only cookies are the ones Google Analytics sets. The site is served by Hostinger, which, like most hosts, may keep standard server logs such as IP addresses and the pages requested.
Your choices and contact
You can use the speed test and read every page without sending us any personal details. To ask what we hold about you, or to have a booking deleted, send a message through the booking form on the business audit page and quote your reference number if you have one.
We will update this page if our practices change and show the date at the top.
